Ways To Get Involved

Volunteers

West Columbia Gorge Humane Society is an organization which runs mainly through the efforts of volunteers — people who give their time to support and carry out our mission. Individuals and families willing to give a few hours will find that their skills and talents make a huge difference.

Foster

Help us save lives by providing a temporary, loving and restful retreat for animals in need. We provide all of the supplies, food and medical attention, so there is no cost to you as a foster parent… all you provide is love! When an animal needs some time to recover from a sickness or injury – or just needs to be socialized – we depend on our network of foster homes.

Adopting a Pet

WCGHS works hard to find homes for every pet.
Our adoption counselors will work with you to make sure you and your new pet are the right fit.

Making a Donation

As an independent non-profit organization, West Columbia Gorge Humane Society relies on donations from animal lovers like you to continue our lifesaving, no-kill mission. Every dollar helps save lives.

Featured Pets

Cemper

Can you make Cemper a happy camper? Cemper is a hound/terrier mix. He’s a people pleaser with a happy smile to match his personality. He’s a wannabe lap dog that knows basic commands and loves a good game of fetch. Young, very active children may make him nervous. He prefers adults and older, respectful children over the age of 10. Someone to play fetch with would be his dream! He would like to meet any dogs and kids he would be living with. Cemper is carrying a bit of winter weight. He weighs in now at 69 pounds and would love a walking partner to help him slim down.

Oren

Oren is a friendly orange tabby that came to WCGHS as a stray. His tail markings look like raccoon rings! Oren’s a very lively, young guy that loves playing with toys or any other object he can find. We just adore him and think that you will, too!

Oren is estimated at 1.5 years and his adoption fee is $80. Come to the shelter to meet him! For more information contact us at 360-835-3464 or adoptions@wcghs.org.
